You know you have real friends when they take you to great places to eat! Especially when they know that food is life! Recently, one of my friends introduced me to this delicious little place in Phoenix called “Taco Guild.” You know me….anything that involves tacos and guacamole is always okay with me!
If you’re like me, tacos should be considered one of your main food groups and guacamole would be a close second. In Arizona, tacos and guac are easily accessible any time of day with 24-hour Mexican Restaurant drive-thrus open throughout Phoenix.
Summertime calls for cookouts, but with the temperatures as high as 120 degrees in Arizona, who wants to stand outside in front of a hot grill? Ribs taste just as great when made in a slow cooker with just the right seasonings and sauces.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, I’m pretty sure you’ve seen this “Pink Drink” all over social media: A light pink beverage in a Starbucks cup with strawberries floating around with ice. So what’s it actually made of? It’s comprised of Starbuck’s Strawberry Acai Refresher, which is normally mixed with water, that is combined with coconut milk instead, poured over ice and topped with freeze dried strawberries. Delicious! Some even mix it with blackberries to create a “Purple Drink”…Lil Wayne would be so proud.
Summer in Arizona is a blessing and a curse. It’s hot and sunny 95% of the year and it practically never snows. But when the temperatures get as high as 120 degrees and your face seems to melt off on your walk from the car, you don’t even want to go outside!
Summer is here and the only thing on everyone’s mind is the pool and cook outs! Nothing comes to mind like a salad when you want to keep your body in shape for summer.

I know what you’re thinking…Why didn’t I call this color series “Fifty Shades of Grey?” Well for starters, everybody and their momma seems to use that term ever since that book and movie came out, so it just seemed too cliché to use.
