I love vegetables. Although they taste great on their own, it’s always good to enhance the flavors by adding a sauce.

This is one of my favorite sides to make. It’s easy and pairs well with pretty much anything!

Honey-Soy Vegetables

1 Bunch Asparagus

2 Bunches of Broccoli

1 Tbsp of Coconut Oil

½ Cup Water

½ Cup Honey

¼ Cup Soy Sauce

2 Tsp Ground Ginger

2 Tsp Crushed Red Pepper

  1. Chop up Asparagus and Broccoli into 1-inch-long pieces.
  2. Heat coconut oil in a large non-stick pan.
  3. Add chopped asparagus and broccoli to the pan and sauté until somewhat browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add water and cover, steaming vegetables for a few minutes until tender.
  5. Remove cover and drain excess water.
  6. Mix honey, soy sauce, ginger and red pepper in a bowl. Pour over cooked vegetables.
  7. Transfer to serving dish and enjoy,

Makes about 4 servings.
